The IIIc has a meter. Otherwise it is identical to the IIc.

I am here and lurking.

Ignore the ratings. Your work is very good.

Sam, I drove by the Darkroom on Oct 30. Still not open. I called several times over the last couple of weeks with no answer.

Thanks Lester. I did not pay much attention to the shot when I first developed the film. Nothing spectacular. After looking at the negatives it hit me. Two and half days later this place was destroyed.
I remember before Andrew hit Louisiana we had perfect weather. The skies were a deep blue, the temperature was mild, and the mood was calm and soothing. That Friday was the same. Perfect weather for fishing. Both storms reminded me of a local PBS documentary on a Hurricane that hit the Louisiana coast in the 1890's on a Sunday night. Several hundred people who lived on an Island called Grand Chenier were killed. There were just a few survivors. Somebody interviewed one of the survivors in the 1960's. She said it was a beautiful Sunday. Calm winds and blue skies. She remembered going to church and having a picnic with her family that day. However, that night the weather deteriorated and the storm hit. Only her and her mother survived. The rest of her family drowned.
I wish the picture did not need an explanation to give meaning to it, but I don't know if one could take such a shot.

I just bought another Retina IIIc. I don't know why. I already have one. Actually, I was going to buy a Yashica D, but someone got to it before me. So, I bought the IIIc instead.

Dennis, I glad to hear your ok too. I would like to hook up with you guys also. I almost feel guilty on how lucky I was. My condo in Beau Chene had stress but survived, and my house in New Orleans is on St. Andrew in the Lower Garden District only had some wind damage. I lost my boat in Hopedale, but at times I forget I owned a boat because of all that my friends and family have lost. My prayers are with you guys.

Very enjoyable. I added it to my favorites.

Sam:
I am sorry for your losses. I am in Covington. If I can be of any help, email me.

My father gave me his Retina IIIc. When I got the first roll developed, I was stunned. It is now the first camera I grab when I go out.

I subscribed days ago. The charge is on my card. Yet, I am not shown as a subcriber.

Enjoyed the shots.

Francisco:
Thank you. I have plenty of film and supplies. Things are getting back to normal in the western outskirts of the city. I will start posting stuff once I am able. My wife and friend are in the city cleaning up the house. No electricity yet. The back of the house had damage from the wind. Need a new roof. Shingles flew everywhere. No flood damage. Water only got six inches deep. The house is 180 years old and still standing.

Francisco:
I will be all around New Orleans doing just that. I took two rolls the other day but alas I have have no way of developing the film at this time. As soon as I can I will post the shots.
