Hi David: I am curious to know what technique do you use to capture night/low light shots. Do you meter once and take one shot or you meter separately for bright and not so bright areas and then merge/balance in photoshop. You have some stunning shots in your portfolio BTW. Another thing I like about your portfolio is variety. Wonderful and inspiring work. Keep it up. Cheers. Subho

Please suggest me on improvements. This pic looks different (a bit
dark) when viewed on a CRT monitor.

Does the tiny water droplets make it distracting?
-
this is a classic. just wondering how would it be if turned to B&W and if by any chance you have a shot with the models face more (not complete) towards the camera.

My thanks to all for the valuable comments and suggestions. I hope I will improve one day.

A typical shot of a rose that is displayed by my local Rose Society.
Someone suggested to spray water so that the water droplets give it
some extra punch. I have seen other pro photographers using the
technique. Is it okay or is it unethical to manipulate the
subject/environment? I am an amateur and would like to hear from
experienced people. Thanks.

nice shot with a nice background. just wondering whether you can make it sharper or else you can try to soften it and then it would look like a painting. sometime it helps.
