Glad you liked it, Pete! I could actually not find a picture of the statue on the Internet that would have been much to my liking.
It was Cardinal Guidera who met his gruesome fate here in the book, being roasted to death. Each murder of a cardinal was done using one of the four elements, in this location it was Fire.
