That is just the dilema! I bought it to use it. Now after all I read about this camera, I do not dare to touch it anymore. I will put it in my collection (collection of one camera from today). I guess I will have to find another one. Any suggestion ?

What a feedback! Thanks all.
The camera works perfectly and sounds smooth and crisp. The lens and camera threads are perfect. It seems it was not much used since the upgrade. I have now some hesitation about how to clean the lens which is probably the work of a specialist. (Any specialist living in the area of Brussels BELGIUM ?)

Beautiful Leica I, upgraded by Leica sometime in the 50s with a flash
socket and an accessory shoe for a flash and a syncro plug. Or at
least that is what a leica specialist told me. He seemed quite eager
to aquire my camera too...
Would anybody give me any info about this camera ?
Description:
Camera:
Black paint near mint.
Leatherette mint.
N 4716.
Curtains as new.
Lens:
Elmar 5cm 3.5 not blue and a bit foggy inside.
Accoring to my specialist the optical lenses was also put in clothing
by leica.
What is so special about this camera ?

Find the best medium format film scanner
in The Digital Darkroom: Process, Technique & Printing
Posted
I am considering buying my first film scanner. I have color & BW
slides, but mostly negatives in the 135 and 120 formats. I also use
4'x5' format, but I believe a film scanner in this latter format is
extremly expensive, so so I will look for a format of up to 120
(6x9cm).
Now! My collection of pictures dates more than 25 years and numbers
more than 50000 pictures, and growing. I do not want to scan them all
but have many to scan. I need quality, speed and reliability. would
anyone give me some advise ?
