    nice frame, I know it's just a decicive moment but it should be great to have the shot from the other side to get the face of the animals exposed. But It's not a critique ;-)
  1. Try a higher iso film (800, 1600 or 3200) don't use your zoom under 1/250 sec - the rule is to not use a speed slower than the focal of your lens to not get the blurred effect from camera shaking.

    As for the cast? Don't care top much about it, the blur is the issue of this photo. About your lens? It is true it is a bit slow, why not try open air festivals it will not be an issue there, or buy a cheap 50mm 1.8 lens? It will give better results than a 70-200 f2.8 lens. And it cost less than 100 euros. But of course you will need to be quiete close to the stage, which means doing smallest venues...
