I'm experimenting with Lightroom 2 tools to adjust exposure in different parts of the
image to show a wider dynamic range. Would appreciate comments on composition,
colors, exposure, etc.

I liked the line up of sand, water, rock and horizon, contributing different colors and
contrasts. Would appreciate opinions on composition, exposure, lighting, etc.

Working with B&W settings in Lightroom to bring out interesting contrasts. Interested
in opinions on composition and lighting.

Trying out a new lens on a cold day...

Very nice. I'm a fan of both fountain pens and music. Really like the crisp contrast of the black against the parchment's texture. The ink spots look like a little paw print - just a little humor inside a tight composition.

I shoot waves when I can and it's great to get the sun behind the crest and show off the color. This shot really gives an impression of power and delicacy.

Nice display of pure colors. I particularly like the broken stem cocked at an angle - breaks up the vertical perspective in just the right way.

Float and line on an off-shore fishing boat docked in San Diego. I was interested in the
color contrast and varying lines. I'd appreciate comments on the perspective.

I walked up on this at Pt. Lobos on a cloudy day and liked the way the pebbles flowed into
the larger rock.

Nicely done. As an earlier comment noted, this is a great example of intentional photography. See what might be an interesting composition, know the correct light will make the scene, wait for the light, hit the shutter, process to emphasize the subject intended. It's both abstract and literal, artistic and documentary. I'm challenged to look around for these type compositions and visualize how different light will change the image.
Thanks Steve for sharing your vision with us.
