I think 24/2,8 meets good your needs. I will sell my 24/2,8 in some days, because I need a 50mm view on my digital rebel and buy 35/2,8. 24mm makes 38mm and it is like 35 on analog. Is very well for documentation photography and some landscape. In fact 24/2,8 ist wery well optical build, too. The problem is, that is unsuitable for all purposes. I love eye-like view from 50mm.

Hello,
just looking for 50mm view fr my digital rebel and found EF 35/2,0
mint edition. On objektive I can see mint typing. I couldn`t find
anywhere information about this "mint edition". What does it mean?
Is it a pre-level of "L"?

I want to buy EF 70-200 f4 L lens and I read now much about their
backfocus on DSLR. I own 300D. Does anybody know, which lens
series "infected"? Old series lens and new alike? Does Canon fixed
this problem on new series already?
Thanks,

After I have seen the galeries, I can say, that 35/2.0 makes more sence for 50mm. Even at f2.0 it has a sharp point, that never have my 50/1,4 at f1,4. And the angle of view is typical 50th too. Very neutral. No tele no wide.

Hello,
i`m in decision to take 28/2,8 oder 35/2,0 to get equivalent my
favourite 50? degree view of life :o)
For 28mm is a bit cheaper than 35 and it`s allows to get a bit more
perspektive. With 35 I could get a bit more unsharpen picture with
opener apperture and it is lightstronger.
Could people post their pictures taken with both lens on DSLR`s with
1,6 crop? It would simplicysize my decision. I have already 24/2,8
and 50/1,4.
Thanks

Steve Dunn:
I`ve tryed to use 420EX like, but I think it isn`t great deal to have such heavy wight on. I work often very acrobatically. :o)
To definite the low light: It`s often simply cloudly weather... probably worst contrast and it`s beginning...

It`s done... i have one center AF and it`s still same problem.
I believe there is general problem with high-light lenses on even middle range cameras like Elan 7 und 300D. I wish I make mistake...

Hello,
it`s a problem, that my favourite lens EF 50/1,4 deny autofocus in
low light situations at Canon EOS 300D. All other lens work fine,
even kit lens 18-55. What can it be? What can I do? I guess
nothing... just work in manual mode. Some tips? :o(
Thanks
