I have been to Peggy's Cove many time but this is one of my favorites.
Beautiful colors and the half moon just topped it up.
Hope you like it too.

It was a very cold early evening at the Hudson Bay in Manitoba.
The biggest challenge was to keep watching for polar bears which hang
out here early November. Actually a day later we photographed a large
male bear on the same "rock pile".
Hope you like the pic.

uppps - yes you are absolute right. Now I'm in trouble, my wife is a Kiwi.
Thanks for telling me!

snow. It was like they exploded with energy.

Northern Lights dancing above the native symbol Inukshuk
in Space

Thanks for all your comments.
Yes, I used a flash to paint the inukshuk, the exposure was 13 sec @ 2.8/ 200 ISO, 16mm, Canon 1 Ds Mark 2.
Remember, you are here in downtown polar bear country, just on the edge of Churchill and it is a little strange standing outside when it is "dark" knowing that the next bear could be right behind you...(glad I saw the next bear next morning and not this night).
I have a few more of this series here: pictures of northern lights.
