This is supposed to be some kind of shutter synchronization/fine tuning device.
Can anyone tell me who made it, how to use it, or what it works with? Any
information would be greatly appreciated.<img

I got a wireless flash trigger on ebay for $25. It works great and its small but it only triggers flash. Thats all I need to do right now so I'm happy with it.

That is a very nice camera that may very well be worth fixing. Call Quality Light Metric Company. 7095 Hollywood Blvd, Ste 550. Hollywood, CA 90028.
Phone: 323-467-2265 Fax: 323-874-0421 ...

My advice is don't do it. You can have these meter fixed but it's not worth it to mess arround with selenium cells. If you get a camera with a working selenium meter, great. I think cameras with built in selenium meters are ugly anyway. You can find somthing nicer with no ugly meter for a pittence of what that type of repair would run, about $100.

Kiev does put these screens on cameras. It's somthing I have only seen in the 88's with the new backs.

My God Michael you are amazing. The feeling you convay in picture after picture almost moved me to tears and the command you have of your medium is impressive. I have yet to create what I would consider a good photo. Seeing realy good work like yours and others here always inspires me to keep at it.
Thanks

No Michael Ging I'm the Tim Page who has been into photography for not even a full year. As for the meter, I know what the T and the D mean it's the D1 and D2. I think for some reason the 1 is read backward and I have no idea how to set the C.C. filter knob. Anyway thaks for the info. Now I must see the work of the other Tim Page.

Taking pics with a Holga is a waste of good 120 film. You would be much better served with a $20 folder. Holga, lomo, and pinhole cameras are for the not so skilled. It enables them to make bad photos look like art. That said, I love pinhole and toy cameras, thay can do great things but you have to learn how to take good pictures first.

Thanks for the info, in responce to Dan if one of these in shor form would be better than a regular cable release. It depends on what you are doing. If you need a very long exposure I would get a normal cable with auto lock. For short exposures I like the air release because of it's smooth action and a air release is great is you have a old folder or some other vintage camera.

Prontor made one that timed from 1 to 34 sec and was sold by B and H for $600. The now discontinued item will run about $150 on ebay but if you get lucky you can snag one for $35. There is one other item that will do what you want for about $5 it's the autoknips II self timer. It times from 1/2 to 10 seconds and is quite nice for the money. You're only other options are to get a cable release and a stopwatch or metronome a light up stopwatch is nice. Thats it in a nutshell I've been through this and tried all the above. P.S. want a prontor I have an extra
Can anybody tell me what this is and what it's used for.
