As another said, an immense sense of scale. Maybe it's the sky at the top that helps that.... not sure. But a really good photo anyway.

Of course they're fighting, but in this still, it looks like the dude is trying to save his buddy from falling to his doom! Love it :D

The texture of the wall is fantastic, and the different elements of the structure give the picture an inviting depth. I like it :)

I like this a lot but for me it's not a happy shot - the band of blue around his neck makes me feel like he's drowning, like he's being held under :(
