Took my seven year old ice fishing last weekend where he caught his
biggest perch to date. We spent 13 hours on the ice at Presque Isle
Bay. Tough as nails, he is.
Every time I take a shot of someone holding a fish, they're smiling.
I just hope, one day, he'll take his kid's out and do the same.

GREAT! Just a great capture. I really like this shot. Excellent work.

Well, the demolished this building yesteday. I think I'll get one of these pix printed and present it to the owners. Real good people.

Great capture. Also, interesting pattern in the feathers under the wing. Thanks for sharing it.

Very playful shot. Nice work.

One of the last beer-joint/restaurants in Akron made popular by the
rubber factories. Doors closed for the last time on 12/31/04 and
demolition will commence in a week or so. Been here for 60 years.
The owners built a bigger place so the traditions will continue.
Thank goodness. It's the best paprikash and strudel I've ever had.
Shame to see the old place go.

Nice picture. I like it very much. If the child was to the front of the window, it may have added even more depth, but I still like the composition, contrast.

While out on a stand-off for several hours, a line of heavy rain and
gale force winds passed through. The alleged criminal the cops were
searching for disappeared, but this was left. At least something
interesting came out of the assignment.

Thanks. I should have taken the camera with me to the river, but I forgot it. Would have made a more interesting background for sure. Th esteelies should be biting well all the way to ice-up, so hopefully, I'll get another chance. Thanks for the suggestions.

My son, the fisherman. Every picture I take of someone holding a
fish, they're smiling. I tried, with the lean and shooting the low
angle, to capture his struggle to hold it up. His largest fish, to
date. Any ideas on how to turn an everyday snapshot like this into
something better??? Fishing for ideas.

Very nice all around. Very calming feelings given off by the pic. Excellent.

First day, first assignment for college intern. Was a marijuana bust
that netted 500lb of the wacky weed, plus guns. I think, in her own
mind, she justified taking out those extra student loans. Just a
shot for fun, not for any serious review. In reality, she did a
great job on the interview, plus several others that day. Ahhh, the
glamorous world that is TV news....but still, the utter joy on her
face was priceless.

Thanks Paul. I'm kind of abrupt myself, but appreciate the comments.

They grow up so fast...

Nice shot. Texture produced by the clouds rivals that on the outstretched wings. Very good.

These fish were leftover brood stock and were released in a NE Ohio
State Park lake. There were approximately 200 or so "anglers" lined
up, shoulder to shoulder, to try and catch one of the 600+ fish that
were released. Being hatchery stock, not the best tasting fish, but
they sure make up for it in brilliant color. Any comments
appreciated.

While fishing last weekend, this rascal and 8 of his companions
quietly drifted up to my boat. They sure are big birds, especially
when they're 6 inches away from your face! I think they thought my
trolling motor was another swan. Anyway, more of an experiment on
framing. I could have cropped it in a more verticle presentation,
but I sort of liked this. Any comments appreciated.

Nice capture. I actually have done several news stories there, last one was where a kid actually was climbing on the top and fell. He made it, but it was a heck of a rescue.
I like the mood, the color, it's a winner.

Nice framing. You can sure see where reflections give us a ready made piece of art every day, if we're only there to capture it. Nice job.

While driving home after a great day of fishing, I happened to catch
this in my side view mirror. Tough to get in traffic doing 70mph!
Anyway, just thought I'd share it with you.

Nice picture. Very colorful. Plus, there could be some sort of read into it concerning God and nature, but that's not for me to get into. ;)
I like it.

My four year old son's first trip ice fishing. He did well for being
so little. His reward? Hot chocolate. My reward? A cherished memory.
