All the above answers, while different, are good ones. There are alot of deer in IL. and they can be found pretty much all over. If you're really serious, watch the deer hunting shows or read the mags/books about whitetail deer hunting. the techniques for hunting with a camera, bow or gun are essentially the same and will(eventually)net you that trophy buck.
