What could I have done better? Thank you for your comments.

Thank you for your review.

This is an amazing image. The group, especially the Leader, look illustrated; almost a painted effect. The detail is striking.

Hi George. We flew on this day and landed on Eldridge Glacier. Wish I could be so bold to have taken up climbing, but not this time. Thanks for your message. Tom

I like the blue and pink color blend on the water and the defining pink lines creating separation. I do believe the road in the shot and the movement in the foreground to be a bit distracting. I have been to the Salten Sea; it is a strange place and can be a photographers dream if trying to capture the eeriness of it all. Regards.

Good point...I did not consider the layering as you describe.

Very kind remarks and I appreciate the thoughts, it helps to build confidence. I agree with your comments aout the "ad-look," it is almost cinematic in a way, too, almost like you can touch it.

Sorry, I now believe it to be Eldridge Glacier; I may need to have this verified.

Ruth Glacier can be seen in the lower-left 3rd of the image.

Wish I could print this on Cibachrome...might be too much contrast,
however.

Yes, let me check the slide closer and make sure the scan is not bad. Very good feedback, I appreciate it. I agree that the polarization might be too much, but I am attracted to deep blues and was trying to achieve some variances and we were between 6-8,000 feet causing distinct differences on the horizons.
One question, do you have any recommendations on scanning slides? I generally scan them raw and do not alter them in the post process; with exception to size. Should I output my images at higher resolutions say, 200dpi, for more clarity on this forum, versus 72? Some of my images are much clearer on the slide...perhaps my scanner is not so good? It is a DiMAGE Scan Dual IV.
Thanks for your responses...
