I myself just took a leap into MF some months ago by purchasing a Hasselblad H1 under
the HERO program ($4195 for complete kit). I am extremely happy with the results so far,
mindful of the fact that it is a 645 and some see that as not enough, I would happily
reccomend this system. However, I would have gotten the Contax 645 system if I was not
a student and in the HERO program through Hasselblad. As far as backs go for the H1, the
system was designed with that in mind and Hassy has acquired Imacon, so that seems to
me to say that digital backs aren't going anywhere soon. hth
Circular Polarizer for 35mm Hassy H series lens
in Medium Format
Posted
Hey, I just received my new H series 35mm lens that takes 95mm filters...However, when I
look for a circular polarizer on B&H's site, I'm presented with several options, be it multi-
coated, normal, or extra-wide. Do I need extra-wide to prevent vignettes or would I be
well enough off with just a multi-coated polarizer. Also, Sigma makes a circular polarizer,
multi-coated...Would this be as good as a Toya or B+W Kaesamann? Thanks in advance.
