habit of getting busy. Let me know what you think of this photo...

is there anything you might change?

Yes, this shot was take with 50mm 1.8 ... probably at 1.8 I would have to look. this is one of my favorite lenses. It's cheat and does a really nice job.

    Thanks again

  2. There are some really nice photos in your gallery. There is a fellow in the calgary photo club that also shoots humming birds. However, he does high speed sync up to 1/14000 of a second. I recently went to his presentation and he had a very long and technical explanation of how he would sync 6 flashes and then hide in an enclosure to take the photos.

Although his images caught the birds wings in still. I think I prefer the wings in motion.

    Cheers,

    Peter

  3. I also agree that the brick is loosing a bit of detail in the top of the photo. I have done a quick version of some burning in PS... but since I wasn't there I don't really know what the colors were like.

    Nice photo by the way.

    Thanks

    Peter

I noticed that the tree tops were are dark did you combine the two different exposures or did you use a gradient filter? I looked at your portfolio. Calgary is a nice place to live and it's nice and close to the mountains.

    Cheers, Peter
