I remember when I would stay with my grandmother, this is a very similar window sill. Really nice photo!

I enjoy B&W, I can imagine the full size photo keeps the looking ever deeper into the image.
Nice,

It has been a while since I have submitted... I guess life has a
habit of getting busy. Let me know what you think of this photo...
is there anything you might change?
Thanks,
Peter

This was taken a couple of nights ago late in the evening. It was
just me,my camera and my golf umbrella. I would appreciate some
advise and comments. Thanks, Peter

I think the boat should not have been croped

I think a gradient filter would have helped this photo...because there is no detail in the forground

more detail in the eyes would be nice

IMO the blade of grass is distracts the eye, other than that it really is a wonderful photo

There are some really nice photos in your gallery. There is a fellow in the calgary photo club that also shoots humming birds. However, he does high speed sync up to 1/14000 of a second. I recently went to his presentation and he had a very long and technical explanation of how he would sync 6 flashes and then hide in an enclosure to take the photos.
Although his images caught the birds wings in still. I think I prefer the wings in motion.

I also agree that the brick is loosing a bit of detail in the top of the photo. I have done a quick version of some burning in PS... but since I wasn't there I don't really know what the colors were like.
Nice photo by the way.
Thanks

I noticed that the tree tops were are dark did you combine the two different exposures or did you use a gradient filter? I looked at your portfolio. Calgary is a nice place to live and it's nice and close to the mountains.
Cheers, Peter

I really like this photo, especially because of the lady in the background seeming to look at the couple

I really like the contrast brtween the glowing leaves and the silouette of the tree trunk.
Thanks,

I think this image might be more powerful in color

I enjoy photos with nice details through the entire photo. The reflection leads really nice into the rest of the photo.
