  1. I love your comments.. it gets right to my point! For you it is not perfectly ugly, nor perfectly beautiful! Hence.. it is imperfect. I love that it creates this desire in people to change something about it! I could have gone the extra steps to make this one perfect... but I really loved the beauty of its imperfection.
  2. This piece represents the beauty in ordindary and imperfect things. When you look at this image, do you love it as it is, or do you wish to change that which is imperfect? How is that a reflection of your perception of the world?

    "Baby Grand"

The fingers in this picture are 6 months old, daughter of a

professional pianist. When most babies would bang on the piano, this

child not only pressed individual keys in a somewhat melodious and

deliberate nature, but she also spaced her fingers as if she were

getting ready to play a chord. Six months old, can't even talk yet.

    Amazing.

I like the image, but I feel as though the text lessens the overall impact. Perhaps a less distracting text would help my eye remain focused on the image.

I appreciate getting a look into the "ordinary" events of others lives around the world. My eye is drawn to the bag hanging on the post- I wonder if that was included for a purpose?
  3. Decisions made:

    - To focus on the ruffles of the petals, leaving the center slightly fuzzy

    - To include part of the background in the crop in order to emphasize the interesting tendencies of these petals.

I'm very interested in knowing what decisions you would make with this subject.

  4. My first perception was- "this is a painting, not a photograph." You do not mention the use of a filter, but I am interested in learning about your process with this image. I think warmness makes it a pleasing image and yet somehow it seems abandoned with the bare trees and sparse ground. I think there's a good balance between land and sky and the perspective takes us further into the image. Thanks for sharing!
  5. This was taken from an abandoned building just north of the pictured beach. The smell

inside the structure was awful but the view was captivating. It was obvious that this

abandon structure was also a homeless dwelling. I couldn't help but think- this is the view

from a homeless person's window, wow. I personally think the perspective angle in the

window keeps you looking further out into the picture (was that an oxymoron?) Any

comments are appreciated- I'm still learning ;-)

I'm so intruiged by this image- wonderful detail- a beautiful macro. Is this a bird? If so- what kind? It has so many interesting textures which were captured beautifully in the contrast of the light.

Are those pencil shavings? I like the original subject matter. The color of the blueberries seems to be more vibrant than it ought to- but that also makes it intruiging.
