Guy, I can't answer your question, but I offer this suggestion for the future. If you are able to,
buy a DSLR camera with the fixed length that will bring you to 35mm. If expenses are
important to you at that time, look over the higher-end-rated cameras and lenses at KEH,
the giant, used cameras, etc., store. They will also buy your S70 if you care to sell it or in this
case, it would be part of a trade. If you do this, it will allow you to later expand your system
with additional lenses, too. Good luck.

I agree with Terry. Try to find an Epson Photo R200 or R220, both under $100. Also, look at
these two sites.

Here's another good one.<br>

This link is to the home page to ABOUT:Photography. Look at the red-lettered categories
along
the left side. Each one leads to tutorials on that particular topic. Good luck.

Another vote for Photoshop Elements. I look at Adobe Photoshop Elements as Adobe
Photoshop's powerful little brother.

Micki, Thanks so much for your reply.--Roger
Scott, I'll "second the motion" re embeding an image, etc.--Roger

Re: My above post. E-mail me if you wish. Thanks.

That's good news. Now if someone would tell me how to post my pictures along with my
text posts instead of being Attachments I would be super-thrilled. I've read the
instructions in FAQ, but I don't understand them. I need take-me-by-the-hand
instructions. Instructions that will take me from a photo in the Pictures file in Safari to it's
final destination, an inline post. Consider that you're dealing with a computer and HTML-
challenged oldster. :-(
Thank you.

Renat, I have an i950 which is essentially the same printer as yours. It has a clogged head,
but if I
can get it up and running again I would like to try your technique.
Roger, I have two of the inexpensive Epsons, an R200 and an R220; both under $100 each.
I'm going to convert one of them to BW-only using the appropriate MIS inkset.

Renat, Look over
these two links. They're about converting color printers to dedicated BW printers.

E.L and Rainer, How do you find this info from an attached photo?

Alex, Some good observations and advice to your question here. May I add...get comfortable
with Photoshop. Much can be done to an image in post processing, especially if the image is
good to begin with, ie. , exposure. ISO, lens, etc. Good luck.

Since this thread is so light-hearted, here's my "fix." All I did in PS was Select the eyes and up
the Brightness/Contrast a bit.<br>
A caption? "Felix, the Owl-Cat" :-) <br>

I read awhile back that the film retail stores sell under their store label is quality film because
when you bring it back for processing they want you to have good prints. I don't know if that
is still true.

Bryan, Great tip. I came to Florida in 1957. Drove all the way down from Syracuse, NY and
that was before the Interstates. Long trip. I had a brand new Volkswagon Bug with a sunroof,
but I wasn't into photography then. :-(<br> But, I was young. :-)<br>

I ran across this picture just now and thought I'd pass it on. Look at the expressions on the kid's faces.
Notice the ones who've spotted the photographer...

daveish 182, If you have a second, would you tell how you reverse mounted the FD lens on
the Pentax *ist? Thanks.

Reading P C's post causes to me to add this comment. I have an Epson Photo R200 running
now with all the original ink cassettes. It prints a great BW-only print, too. And as P C says,
you also can print color.
