1. There has been a recent upgrade that some of you may (or may not) have noticed which will improve the gallery user experience. Its a simple modal, on all photos within the Explore tab. So when you click on a photo, the modal appears, which is only the photo and in the lower left hand corner instructions to "click photo", which then functions appear that allow you to follow, admire, favorite and comment or critique - once done, you click X and you are back where you left off. This modal will be implemented in additional areas in the coming days. Our dev ops crew is working on speed. Our tests indicate that international users experience longer load times and we're trying to address that - but will provide a more comprehensive update soon.

Thanks for your explanation, hopefully here in Europe we can continue enjoying PN... looking forward for results in speed for international users.

  2. Sorry guys for bad spirit but... Until when we will have to suffer photo.net 2.0 bad performance?

Not going to renew my subscription until looking pictures doesn't feel a nightmare... It is so bad.

Admins should set a performance target and try to achieve it in X months, if not possible then roll back.

  3. ... please remember that the entire internet can get a free account and start rating.

Just one example: my wife. She will never rate a snake picture more than 1/1 because she hate snakes :)... and I have not been able to convince her that some of them are GREAT photos.

I guess there are many more like my wife out there :)

As Nicole said, I appreciate more the comments and number of votes (not the value) because that means the picture moved something in their brains like it did in mine...

    Best Regards.

I will go for E500, based on this comparition... (I didn't see any other). E1 has better w/balance and shooting speed, but I can live with E500 counterpart and I could not live with a big external flash and camera dimensions of E1.

Could I say that if You only shoot in studio, E-1 is still the choice but if You shoot outside, E-1 is not competitive enough with E-500 ?
