Thanks for your comments. I added the soft focus effect because I thought it made the image more true to the scene when I photographed it.

This image has a beautiful subject and light, but the composition feels static. Perhaps it's because the rainbow splits the image in two halves, with different tonalities in the sky on either half. I think the farm may be a little distracting as well. Almost...

This image has potential, but needs more work. First of all, the image isn't quite sharp enough. Next time consider using a Tri-pod. As far as composition goes, I think you have the beginnings of something useful. If you would have moved the subject to the bottom left of the curve and left the right side of the curve in the frame, you would have made a more dynamic impression.

Thanks for your comments. I have to disagree with your assessment about impressionism. I don't think it was about light at all. It was a reaction to Realism, stripping away the details of a subject, leaving its "impression".

 

In that light (pardon the pun), how do you think the image works?
