1. "Oh gosh! Timothy is sexually aroused by a photograph of a mostly clad woman! Run for the hills! How can photo.net be held accountable for your imagination?"

That's it, attack me instead of my point. Brilliant. NOT!

  2. I uploaded a picture to the critique forum. Shouldn't I be able to

find this photo in the top photos if the rating is high enough? It

has been less than three days, the rating is high enough, and yet I

can't find it. Any idea why?

  3. I'd probably give it a 3/4 or a 4/4 but someone else might well not like it that much.

First of all I was asking to see if people thought it was a bot or not. I was not complaining about the rating.

Having said that I would like to know why you think this image is below average aesthetically. What about this photo displeases you?

  4. I get upset because I can plainly tell that the photo isn't crap. Therefore, someone gave me a 1 because they either don't care, or they are just being malicious.

I would rate this photo 6/5. I think that is more than fair. It's a good photo taken with good technique. It may be simple composition, but nonetheless, good composition.

  5. Before shooting the wedding my site was designed to meet a large variety of styles. I may create a wedding site now because I like the wedding shots. Just like I did for the movie images I shot. I created a site just for them. (BTW, did anyone happen to see that site? And if so, what did you think of it?)

(Let me just state for the record.....weddings are the most difficult to shoot. Landscapes are easy.... movies are kind of tough, but compared to weddings, these pale in comparison.)

The next wedding will have a greater mix of styles if there is anything I can do about it. I may hire an assistant. Plus a second.

Would you be so kind as to critique my new wedding site when I have it finished? You all have been very helpful. You should write a book. :)

6. Thank you all! Your comments mean the world to me. I think about them and take them to heart where I feel appropiate. I will be working on lighting issues in the future, big time.

There are very few shots because the wedding was so darn quick. But that is no excuse. I will work on these things in the future.

7. As of today I have given up on Photo.Net. The only reason to have ratings is to see where you rank, and to get more exposure. But with people rating them in the 2's, anonymously, there is no point. The ratings are worthless. Good pictures get tanked and never seen thanks to someone giving it a 2.

Yeah I am a little upset. I am a professional photographer. I do this for a living. If my pictures were 'bad', which is what people are saying OVER AND OVER again, then why do movie companies hire me to shoot their movies? Why did Cuba Gooding Jr. brag my name up and down Hollywood, [his words not mine], if my shots were bad? I know better. The rating system is a joke. Since it is not removed, or fixed so that I know who is tanking the score and why, there is no point in me being a member. There is also no point in me visiting to see what pictures are being rated since the ratings are completely messed up.

I apologize to those that work hard to fix PN.

Nevertheless, until it's fixed it is a waste of my time.
