Lovely tones. Makes a nice visual poem and works well with painting filter you have used. Would have liked a bit higher exposure.

Ummm... yes, I like the result as well. Very pleasing colors and eye-catching composition. The bright area, aside from being a natural sink for the eye is also a point of interest because of the leading lines. Well done.

    Manzanita

Henry W Coe State Park, CA, is well known for its large, shade-tree

sized Manzanitas. These ones were shot on Velvia 50 using a Zero-Image

    4x5 pinhole camera.

    Your comments are most welcome.

  1. Love this. Whether intentional or not, I find the it amazing how well the background matches up with the foreground image; the head of the butterfly rises perfectly out of the yellow background, emphasizing and setting it off.

  2. Patrick, This is a very nice composition. I like the arrangement of the elements and your choice of leaves and flowers, but I find the dish (?) on which the flowers are arranged to be too bright... perhaps a different colored one would have been better.

Simple. Elegant. Though many might not feel this way, I especially like the contrast between the sharp, still image of the bird itself and its blurred reflection. Well done.
