I find it too much, too busy, with no point of interest, no lines that guide my vision to something. I think one of the roses would be nicer, or a composition of a couple of them.

I've seen such blindingly bright light over snow myself, and the image captures that feeling to an extent, but I find the blown out area too large, and the flare just too overpowering. I think the only way to do justice to such a scene would likely be a HDR approach.

Has great potential as a portrait, but I find the bright background distracting since the subject is so dark. Maybe try to tone down the background a bit. I think the focus is not absolutely on its eye either. That is important in creating the connection with all portraits whether people or animals (well, maybe animals are people too as far as portraits go anyway)

Very "nice" scene, we canoe a lot too. I think it would have been better if you had taken it a few seconds earlier when the whole canoe was in the dark area behind them. I feel it loses a lot of impact by having the front half of the canoe blend into the background.

Love the simplicity of the image. I like minimalistic images, and even the color is almost monochrome. I think I might clone out the float (?) in the right hand side of that smoother water. Even more minimalistic.

I find it unremarkable. The background is too busy and bright, the hair is very distracting, and the "targeting" loses focus as a result.

Nice idea that I like a lot, but I feel it is over exposed, and the background is very "busy". Smaller f-stop to blur background, or a darker one would make the pose more effective.
