detention camp for immigrants awaiting deportation.

Where will these kids be later this month? In the city of Toulouse 140

families of paperless immigrants with children attending school are

awaiting a decision on their status. The Réseau Education sans

Frontières organized a demonstration to sensitize the population of

these persons' situation.

On sunday the leader of the french extreme right (Jean-Marie Le Pen)came to Toulouse in course of his campaign to the forthcomingpresidential elections. The protests against racism during his stay inthe city escalated and this demonstrator had his taste of teargas.

This picture has been taken during the "Fête de la musique", which

takes place on june during the shortes night of the year in France.

Everybody just takes their amps down into the streets and makes music

all the night. This allows to really get close, even if it is an

ultra-low-light environment, as the amateur groups don't have any

lighting.

On the occasion of the 5th anniversary of the detention camp at

Guantanamo Bay, Amnesty International gathered to protest.

Well, if anybody wants to give it a try (removal of the bike), I could supply him(her with a higher res file. Unfortunately she was just getting out of the showcase, so I wasn't able to make another shot. But that's what street photography is about, I guess.
