It is a mesmerizing picture. To me it looks like an old print or slide with faded colours. It is like if I was looking at an image of a lover that was taken many many years ago, trying to remeber her name.

After WW2, Germans were forced en masse to leave their homes in
border areas of Czechoslovakia and never return. This grave (and many
more) was left behind in what is now the Czech village of Nove Hute
in Sumava National Park. Long neglected, the grave is now maintained
by surviving relatives during brief visits from Germany.

In the end of the sailing season, boats are moved from sea to dry
berths by crane. For some reason I like the pattern of diagonal
lines in the picture. What do you think?

Crop? Composition? Toning? Contrast? Comments most welcome, thank
you.

On a nice day, the pier becomes a favourite promenade for locals and
tourists. Shot hand-held at 1/15, with a polarizer.

Do you like it?

Feedback welcome. There is also a colour version in my porfolio, but
for some reason I like the b&w image more. What do you think?

The modern, concrete-built Berkeley Library of the Trinity College,
Dublin, stands next to the old stone building of Thomas Burgh's
Library. The old and new libraries form the background to a
sculpture by Arnaldo Pomodoro called 'Sphere with Sphere' (1982-83).
Comments welcome.

This is a plant on the window in the living room; I though the
blinds created nice repeated pattern of light that illuminated the
leaves.

Even in Ireland, we just get lucky sometimes and there is a sunny
day with no wind. Photo taken in the Wicklow Mountains just south of
Dublin last Sunday.
