    Power Station

          3

Hi Cristophe - thanks for commenting on my Philly power station photo - I was obviously amused to see you post it on the NW forum and be able to post immediately afterward.

I don't know if there are places on the New Jersey side to shoot this - you can get to the waterfront by the bridges just north of the power station but the view of the plant is obscured. Farther south you run into private property with no access...

I like your Paris photos - alas, I've only been there once and had little time to explore.

    Best,

    Hi David,

Thanks for your comments. This building and those in the other two shots you refer to are from the same complex of buildings (about seven buildings total). They are part of the old Coppermine Inn along the Delaware River near the Delaware Water Gap. The Inn used to be frequented by tourists and locals for many years, but has since fallen into disrepair (obviously). I estimate that the buildings have been abandoned for 20 years or so. Certainly, repeated flodding took its toll on the tourist traffic, but the whole area saw a reduction in tourists from NYC during the latter part of the 20th century. One indeed gets the sense wandering around the site that many secrets are just beneath the surface. Thanks again for commenting. EO
