That's a great idea, D. I usually just carry a laptop in the car though and dump the card whenever I need to. Also, I use gig cards a lot so it's only really been necessary once or twice.
I usually carry a few spare 128s though, just in case.

I agree here. In my less intelligent days, I bought a Phoenix 28-300mm zoom for just about $120. It's really convenient, but on closer inspection of the photos, I was seriously disappointed. Sharpness is considerably bad at anything higher than 70mm and the AF mechanics are extremely slow. The lens is heavy and, without a lens-based tripod mount, causes a lot of motion in the camera even while mounted itself (maybe I just need a new pod though, heh).
After about a month of shooting with it, it's since remained on the shelf.
