  1. We are trying to shoot fashion/model images in downtown Chicago Loop

area at night. Previously we have shot nice daytime images with ambient light.

Now however, we need advice on what continuous lighting systems would match the best natural light. We have appropriate battery powerpacks to keep the lights lit but need to know what the pros find best to simulate soft, natural lighting to compliment the night city lights.

HMI's? Floods? Tungstens? Which film should we be using (120 roll)

with what lights ??? What's the way to go here? ....Thanks......

  2. Which would be the sharpest and best lenses for use with the Rollei 6008i system ??? If you could only carry 2 lenses for this Rollei...

    ....which lenses would they be?

Need experienced users who have used both the Zeiss and the Schneiders

Like to find the sharpest lens in the 40mm category and

the sharpest ones in the 80mm to 90mm category.....

  3. I've been shooting in the 35mm format for years, it's time to move to the medium format.

It's obvious that the major players are Hasselblad, Mamiya, Pentax.

I am mainly interested in tripod work outdoors with nature/people images. Need durable equipment that can take the weather/travel.

Will need 2 bodies....somewhat ease of setup, and minimun breakdowns.

I take time with each shot..but need a MF which will be somewhat easy to move up from 35mm. Don't want a rangefinder.

Working pros please tell me the news......so I don't learn the hard way again.....Thanks

  4. ..........Moving up from 35mm to MF.....

Need fast set up time but sharp pics ...all outdoor work....

Don't care about weight (all tripod work) or don't need a changeble back.....

Need to be able to shoot in all weather conditons and able to load film at least somewhat efficiently.......

Narrowed it down to Hassy 503cw, Mamiya sdpro, Mamiya 7, or Pentax 7...

Now please help me decide which one would best suit my needs....

Need comments from experienced users of these animals!

    Thank You very much

  5. ...and I am also contemplating purchasing a medium format......also contemplating hasselblad 503cw, mamiya 7 or SD pro, or Pentax 67.

I am only now a 35mm person, but want to ,ove up easily to larger 6x6 or 6x7 format and sharpness. I do nature/landscapes with people photography/fashion, most of it outdoors. I need a camera easy to shoot and setup (all tripod work). Don't care about weight.....

. Heard the Pentax 67 is the workhorse. Wouldn't want to scratch up a hasselblad...

What about the Mamiya 7 ?

    Any comments appreciated
