A good eye for detail and pattern. Might have toyed with the composition a bit to put the "knot" off center.

Poor kitty doesn't look too happy! A great moment, but the tonality of the image is a bit muddy--but then maybe that's just how it looks on my monitor.

The textures are very pleasing, made so by the light skimming off the cat's face. Cropping a bit off the top might improve the composition.

Lovely colors, textures, captures a gentle moment.

Years from now this will be a treasure. As a first attempt at B&W you should certainly be satisfied. You have catchlights in the eyes in natural lighting, nice textures in the skin, interesting composition, and captured a nice moment. About the man's eye in the shadow, I'm sure you can bring out more detail--it looks like it's probably there in the negative. Perhaps the same goes for the very bright highlights on the child's sleeve.

Lovely image. The back-lighting on the green leaves is certainly eye-catching to contrast with the blue flowers. I only wish the flowers in front were in focus and the top-most flower were not cut off.

Very nice. You took a low position and used a large aperture to isolate the oystercatcher from the background. I like the composition, too.

A truly stunning image. I'll have to say, though, I prefer the uncropped version.
Thanks for sharing this one!

Taken from inside the old CRNJ Ferry Terminal in late afternoon. Several photos taken the same day included the WTC towers.
