that's so cool...thanks for posting...I have a question for you Brad...have you made a book with them yet, and if so, did you use one of
the methods they say you can upload from like iphoto, or flickr?? thanks again, sara

I'd go with the Jacobson blimps too...
used two of his in the past, one for a digital slr, and one for a contax 645...both were amazingly quiet on set...
they aren't cheap...
good luck!

no...55 is 4x5 film...plus, Polaroid no longer makes 55...have you looked into the fuji instant films? they will work with your camera, do a google
search and you will see plenty of info out there...

looking to buy an Epson 3800 tomorrow...not sure which edition to get...I shoot mostly portraits with a
combo of digital images and medium and large format film... Moving up from a 2200. Do I spend the extra
$200 for the Pro (give and take a few bucks) or do I stick with the Standard edition?? Any advice is
welcome...Thanks!

jason...I found this book really helpful...it's by Scott Kelby and it's called The Photoshop cs
book for digital photographers...I think he has written it for every version, but not positive on
that one...check him out at your local book store...some people like his style and some
don't...
good luck

I've been looking for a place in LA that privately, or in groups, could teach me how to use a darkroom. I
mainly shoot large and medium format and would love to start printing my own stuff...but have no idea
how to get started and I thought a class of some sort would be a great begining. Any ideas??? Thanks!

Jimmy...I am working with a 4x5 pinhole and it's been a pretty expensive habit...polaroid
backs, quickload backs, film, polaroid, developing etc...but I do get pretty sharp images
when I shoot with film like provia...if you go to my site http://sarapeterson.com...go to
galleries and click on landscape all the images there are pinholes...good luck!

I've read here that Polaroid will give a voucher for a bad batch of film, does anyone know if Fuji will do the
same? I shot some fuji 100-c 4x5 this morning and there was something wrong with one of the
boxes...thanks..sara p.

It's for coating the print so it doesn't fade or discolor... You take it and wipe it on the print...
Good luck!

B&H has the 110x110 recessed lens boards for the toyo cf...

I also use a Manfrotto ball head...when i first got it I had the problem of it moving once
locked (really annoying) so I sent it in to manfrotto and they adjusted it for free...it works
great now and can use it with my toyo 4x5 with no problems... might be worth a try...good
luck!

I use this place for all my clients...

I am using the bogen 3221 - which I love, for everything from my D100, to a toyo 4x5...I
have the bogen 490 ball head and it's just great...i do not have a quick release, but it takes a
quick sec to change my cameras out... The ball head wasn't holding it's wight at first, but I
sent it in to bogen and they fixed and returned it really fast...I am very happy with the
combination of the two.
Good luck,
sara p

Nuala...
I'm using an old Polaroid Land Camera 100 that I got off e-bay for 30 bucks...it uses all the
polaroid pack films, as well as the fuji ones. I love the results I get...I also have an NPC 195,
but it was expensive...Here are some samples of the polaroid 100 if you want to see what it
can do...good luck!!

This may not be an answer your looking for, but I use a card reader so that my camera is free
to continue shooting...plus, no camera batteries to drain.

I second the motion for Calumet as well...Damion is the guy to see...they haven't put a hold
on my credit card since the first time I rented there...They are priced well, and you can
download their rental catalog from their website.

These guys had them when I broke mine....ask for Pat
