Old summitter is a buddhist and he brought small stupas of late alpinist friends
including some members of the 44 years ago expedition to Baltro Kangri.

The area became more strategic than bdfore and there were many military
post on the glacier.

0nce our group sent an expedition to Baltro Kngri in 1963. This was a
memorial tour of a summitter accompanied by younger people.

Baltro Kangri (7312m) was named as "Golden Throne" by an explorer
W.M.Conway. We were lucky that we could share the same image in a last
moment of the day.
