Found this inquisitive cat at a southern california winery lounging in the

picnic area...was very difficult to get one stable shot up close as he was

on the move every second. Finally managed one. Thanks for your critique.

Nice use of light and composition. Love the way how the boy's face is flanked by the black on the left. When I look at your recent b/w photos the idea of making a b/w movie using all your snaps keeps running in my mind :-) Great stuff

    at the field 13...

Not sure if the central composition and the isolated tree on the right work for me though. Just curious how it would look if the woman was composed on the right. Nevertheless, a wonderful shot! 6/6

    Emptiness

Where would we all be if we started seeing things the same way?! I just found the opposite building distracting...that's all. Now I'm curious what it would have looked like to have the empty room itself on the other side. I guess at some point we have all been through that 'emptiness'...it is inspiring that you are depicting it through writing & the camera (visual poetry!).

Oh...and just to be clear I was refering to my dark night interpretation when I wrote "its just so much easire to sit on a computer and type out your thoughts than capture it on film". I just realized it could be misinterpreted. Cheers!

    Emptiness

I dont think I'm quite getting the feeling of emptiness. Would have been better if the window was looking into emptiness (in its literal sense) or a dark night. Also I wasnt too convinced the photo necessarily backs up the writing (or vice versa). But I love the idea though. If you can give this one more try...awesome!

For some reason, this is how I have it pictured in my mind...have a dark/black interior leading to an illuminated curtain (with soft white light and shot when it is flapping in the wind...almost ghostly) leading to a dark night sky through the window...OR have a subject staring out into darkness (interpreted as emptiness) in deep thought with just the face profile moonlit!

I dont know if you necessarily see it the same way or even close but one thing's for sure...its just so much easire to sit on a computer and type out your thoughts than capture it on film...and more fun too ;o) Hmmm...
