Hi there....I realise this one's been banged around a bit but I'm going mad searching
through all the different threads and so thought I'd put my very specific question out
there:
I am in the process of setting up my first studio with the main subject being product (wine,
food, jewellery, furniture and other small to medium size items). Most of my portraiture is
done using windowlight and a reflector so I am quite happy to continue using that
method. I am leaning towards a Photoflex Starlite kit consisting of 2 x 1000w in 24 x 32
Silverdome softboxes and 1 x 500w in 12 x 16 softbox for use overhead (around $1500).
As I live in a wine district there will be quite a bit of bottle and glass shoots and I like the
idea of being able to see exactly what I'm doing without having to test shoot everything to
get the light positioning correct.
Given the above and my lack of experience with lights would this choice make sense or
would a basic strobe kit be more beneficial? If a strobe kit would in fact be the better
choice what suggestions re a kit that would be comparable to the above Photoflex setup
and price?
Many thanks.

Hi...does anybody have experience shooting star trails with the P645N? And what films
have you found to produce the best results re colour?
Thanks.

thanks for all your replies....I shoot in RAW for images that will be printed and use both PS
and Elements 2. Just got into digital (finally converted) and there's a few little things that
need explaining, so appreciate the help.

Hi....easy/silly question (can't seem to find it in manual): normally I have my
transparencies scanned to 30mb. How do I produce the equivalent output from digital
image?
thanks
