On a late afternoon walk, I encountered these lovely flowers next to a site slated for the
construction of a huge home improvement store. I suppose these flowers and the field they
were in are long gone... Thanks for viewing.

A thundershower had just rolled through the Kodachrome Basin and sunlight was slowly
penetrating the dense and dark clouds. Thanks for viewing.

Thank you all for your comments. Usually, my photographs are very vibrant and the above photo is a depature for me as I am experimenting with various photography styles. I actually played around with B&W as well but doing so washed out the tracks rather than make them stand out.

One cold and gloomy afternoon on a walk along a rather deserted beach in Holland, I came
upon these car tracks and liked how they drew my eyes toward the distance. Thanks for

Anyone who's ever visited Ayuttahya has probably walked past this Buddha's head framed by
tree roots over the course of centuries. I thought it quite beautiful and hope you do, too.

Oxcarts have played an important role in Costa Rica's history and are still utilized in some
rural parts of the country. Traditionally, oxcarts were decorated in virbant colors and designs
- such as this one, given that the owner could afford to do so. This photo, of course, is just
the wheel - but the entire cart looked like this. Thanks for viewing.

Colonial House in Antigua, Guatemala summarize local attitudes regarding the interplay of
color and architecture. Thanks for viewing.

Spotted this window at Weilburg Castle, Germany. Thanks for viewing.

Beautiful, indeed. Isn't it fantastic that these buildings can evoke such varying perceptions?

Hi Dennis - thanks for commenting. I believe that European cathedrals seem so stark to me because I am more accustomed to their Central American counterparts - which tend to be filigreed and colorful. I suppose the above photo is an apt rendition of my perception.

European Cathedrals tend to be very stark and to me, this photo of the Cathedral in Cologne,
Germany is a prime example of the severness of this type of building.

While visiting the town of Braunfels, Germany, I was fortunate enough to enjoy a tour of
historic Braunfels Castle by a locale Theater troupe. The combination of backdrop and
costumes was simply perfect. Thank for viewing.
