Most of us (the human race) learned a long time ago that jus because it has "Pro" in the title, in no way means it's good enough for professional use.
-
Honestly, on my screen it looks overexposed. As far as Noise ninja or neat image,I haven't gotten anything to look good with them past 8x10. Not sure about the cross hatching, someone else'll have to broach that one.

As Grant said...check out the wedding and events forum. It gives a LOT of good tips. I have gotten to the point where I hardly ever feel the need for a flash, regardless of the lighting...unless I feel I need some fill flash. Anywho..

I think their evil plot is working!

"yeah, get yourself 50mm1.8f - your life will never be the same again"
Yup I have to agree. I got one.....and my kid left home for good.

I'd hope they wouldn't bother with SD cards, they're flimsy at best.
-
I wouldn't worry to much. After all, I have not heard of one case where high speed chimping caused whiplash.
-
Yeah, I wouldn't bother with it unless it got worse fairly soon (before the warranty ran out). It's not like a slight "glitch" in a pacemaker. Now a problem like that would just kill me!

I guess I should have said image circle.

I've tried it on a EOS film camera. Since I manually focus 98% of the time, to prevent damaging the mirror on the film body, after the modification to the lens I set the lens flush on a table, adjusted the lens until it "bottomed out" onto the table, and etched and colored in red the mark to let me know the "safe" limit for the film body. BTW it's about 21mm for those that are interested. But another thing to remember is the smaller glass for the 1.6x factor.

You'd think they'd want to put a little magnification to it. But heck, let's not get to thinking logic here. Logic might interupt the balance of forces, and next thing you know cats and dogs 'd be sleeping together, squirrels and and octopi would be having kids...etc., etc.

In keeping With Bobs' nudie theme in general archive; We're boys....we're supposed to like peepholes! Kidding aside, I'd sure like to actually see what it is I'm composing in the viewfinder.

My brother-in-law and I operated an LLC a few years back, between the legalities of business setup and the simple insurance we purchased our tails were very well covered. Listen to the CPA, they really are quite good at their jobs if they have any decent clientel base. Most reputable CPAs' really do have your best interest in mind, after all...if they want to keep your business coming back they have to do their jobs right.

You could always try asking for DL number and show them that it is all the information besides their name you will be taking down. In the unlikely event that the painted scenario ever hapens, they won't want to be caught with a false ID, since that would put their tails in a vice at that point. So many circles of thought to decide....

Yup, changed mine. Old age has this habbit of fuzzing our vision, so we over compensate by using the lenses that get us "closer and clearer" views of what we used to see just fine as youngsters. Hmmm, come to think of it , maybe cornea transplants are comparable in cost to Canons' "L" lenses. LOL!

As not noted from that pasted info, it goes on futher to say there , as yet, no notable changes that weren't already there from Waisa. They are still working on it, which is a step in the right direction.

Sure, use the software that came with the camera. It shows where the active AF point was at the time of exsposure, nice red square&dot just like the cameras AF point.
-
Ditto to Eric, I'd rather keep getting lenses that I can use on my DSLR and SLR. JMHO, but I think I get less distortion with standard EF lenses than with my EF-S.

General rule of thumb.....if the description doesn't say full time manual focus, then it isn't.

Scan, Post scan processing, different monitor calibration........

Well, I just checked out Costco online. They have great deals on the three-packs, but no singles. This is a problem for me since there aren't many Costcos' in Florida, and they are all in the large cities. The closest one to me is a three hour drive away, which throws ANY savings out the window. And to order online (the three-packs) would cost me $208 USD plus S&H, again....not a very attractive offer.

Oops! that was supposed to read *not pigment*

I just ordered the Epson RX500 since my way outdated (and crappy
Lexmark P-122 Photo) printer sucks for printing photos above 3X5.
What I'd like to know, if anyone has personally used one or seen one
in action, is what kind of print quality does this printer provide.
What papers would you recommend for archival purposes (although not a
dye system), and prints for others. Any thoughts\advice on good
quality papers is appreciated. I'm desperately trying to avoid that
horrible green tint (no matter what I try, ink settings, paper, etc.)
I get from what I have now. And the lines....don't get me going on
that one.
I'm not expecting miracles. I figure just about any newer printer with
individual cartridges has got to be better than what I had. Thanks in
advance.

One of the biggest problems I've had with fading is that the humidity, other than lights effects, level severly increases fading. Then again I don't have a very good photo printer at the moment and I'm not too thrilled about Kodaks' papers.
Anyone else use a Canon Powershot Pro 1 for professional jobs?
