  1. Josh I'm not rich. I struggled with dial up for five years until I realized that having a high speed connection was worth some sacrifice in other areas of my life. I am sure you are not proposing that the whole internet slow down and get small so no one gets left behind.

I live for the day when enough bytes can travel down a liquid nitrogen cooled line so I can converse with a brilliant A.I. humanoid hologram of Jessica Simpson in my oh so humble kitchen. Maybe I'll cover her body with thumbnails of my photos that I can click on by ever so gently poking her fleshless body. Maybe I'll make her a cup of tea that I will drink after I switch her off. (She pretends she wants the tea but she never picks up the cup)

  2. Sorry there Michael for wanting my world to be a little different then yours. I will try harder to want what you want in the future.

Seriously I shoot with the highest resolution digital still cameras I can afford. I am pricing a hi-def video camcorder, which is the wave of the future when it comes to photo journalism. Every chance I get I pound more Ram into my computer, and I have a high speed hook up to the internet. In other words, the future is here and I would not expect anyone with a dial up internet connection to be looking at my portfolio. I can't even believe dial up still exists. (Send all comments to Santa Claus in the Green Parrot in Key West) With a high speed hook up it takes about 15 seconds for all 1500 of my thumbnails to load. No time for coffee dude. And sorry once again Michael, but that is how I would like to present my photos.

Obviously I am speaking with one voice and there doesn't seem to be any concern about the changes that have been made, so I gues I will have to live with it.

Which brings me to my second comment about how the photos are all over the place when you click on the larger portfolio. Josh I don't know what specific browser my computers use. They both have Microsoft operating systems. But I don't think that is the issue because these are the computers I was using before the change when everything appeared normal. Something is different.

Josh I would like to compliment you guys on the new feature that allows you to rearrange the photos using a drag and drop technique. I love it. By the way do you send hammer and chisels to the dial up folks to move there stuff around?

  3. Viewing the whole portfolio was one of the nice features of photo.net. I for one would rather pay additional fees to have the entire portfolio available. This will definitely limit the amount of image viewership photographers will receive on this site. People will just wind up re-arranging their portfolios to have only twenty images per portfolio. This is really disappointing to me. I hope it changes.
