    Lugar do Boi II

You said that this picture is overexposed. I do not think so. As you know different places at the same square have different lights. For example: If you have taken this picture at f/5.6, the sky was telling you a shutter speed of 1/250. But the houses were telling you shutter speed of 1/60. Because they are in shadow and do not receive any diret light. Because of the difference, in circumstances like this, whether you do not take the picture because of the facts that i mentioned or you make decision. You will know that the sky will be completely bright and you will take the picture of the houses. Or you will see the details in the sky but you will get the houses and trees completely in black. This means you must shoot a picture if the shutter for the sky says 1/250 and for the houses 1/125 or more. The similar amount of lights on objects will make you a good picture. You have to wait until you see a scene with proper light. The case is a little complex but what i wrote above will improve your pictures. keep on working. Photographer must decide what he wants to photograph. And then he has to wait for the proper light.

    The miner's boy

I am looking at this picture almost everyday. Somehow i have been attached to this boy. this is not like a picture. Every part of his face tells different stories. If it was possible i would like to get a large beautiful print of the picture. For me, this one is the most beautiful one in your gallery in all terms. Technically and aesteticly. I have never been impressed that much by any photograph.

this is what i like the most. you have to put your camera on a solid place. It must not shake at all. Or just a little bit. The aperture rates must be very big at night time to get perfect shots. for example f/4 or f/1. or something between them. 5.6 is also OK. try your exposure on 5.6 aperture for 10 seconds 20 seconds 30 seconds. then you will understand how to do it. but do not shake the camera at all. this is the first requirement. also use self timer. because as you press the button to open the shutter the camera will shake also. The key here is the reducing the shaking for nightshots. it is though with regular lenses. thnks good luck.

This place must be Spanish steps in Rome. I know the place well. It is always too crowded to take a proper picture. You colors are nice. But the girl there looks too artificial. I like natural things generally. But i like it. Your shooting position is perfect.
