  1. Another great thing about digital is that an image you capture can quite literally be around the world in a few moments...for example, I was just out on the lake and I had heard that there was a nesting loon close by. So, I slowly made my way to the directed location and sure enough, there she was...and now, less than 30 minutes after I was leaning over the side of the boat, trying to get closer without falling into the water, two images of that same loon can be seen on photo.net. Check out my workspace for the results.

So, in case I have not made myself clear, GO DIGITAL!

  2. I am a twin, and when I was growing up, I was so interested in pictures and movies, but the cost drove me away and it is now that digital is upon us that I have re-ignited my passion.

I like it because of the instant results on the screen on the camera. True, it is not big enough to tell every little detail, but you can sure tell right quick if somebody blinked or somebody slipped a finger here or there.

And, yes, you will take many more images that you ever would using film, and then you can take the best of the best to get printed. Where I work, there are often events going on and some days I have snapped between 1500 and 2000 pictures. Of those, 10 percent I delete right away due to a variety of reasons, but 90 I retain and of that, we usually print another 10 percent, but hold onto the remaining 80 as sometime down the road, one of the not so perfect shots will come in handy for something.

I could say volumes more, but I'll stop now and say again, GO DIGITAL!
