Nice pic.
I'm not being mean, but similar photographs turn up in UK photo mags all the time. There are two - count 'em - in this week's Amateur Photographer (1 Oct 2005) for example. Taken by different photographers.
What would be the US equivalent of this cliche?
This is no criticism of Amateur Photographer - a fine magazine with a proud history - nor of Darren Green - clearly an accomplished photographer.
Cheers,
Sean.
(Not above a bit of cliche himself)

This statue with a glowing halo transfixed me as I drove through
County Roscommon, Ireland. Falling light-levels required an exposure
of 1/30 @ f/1.7, which had a hidden benefit: the moon stayed circular.
If I had stopped down, the moon (at infinity, of course) would have
been so out of focus that it would have taken on the shape of the
aperture diaphragm. Thanks for looking - Sean.

This scenario posed an ethical dilemma for me - to intervene or not.
Fortunately the one being robbed awoke from his drunken stupor and a
fight ensued when he realised that his pockets were being emptied.

This was a very quick, prefocussed, guessed exposure shot. I was
chuffed that it all came together. What do you think?
