  1. i like it - however, the sky is definately overpolarized which is easy to do with wide angles. I've been there and it doesnt feel like the place - lighten the sky and lighten slightly the sand too. When you're there you get a sense of overwhelming brightness from the sand. Really like your discovery of the 'rock' as a subject in the sand.

    I like it but: try a little crop from the bottom and see how that looks. the contrast is a little much in the foreground ... that could be cleaned up a bit with PS.

    on my monitor it looks a bit much saturation whereas the print does not. my laptop monitor is a bit screwy though

    Full-frame digital capture with 10d and 500mm from a distance of about

    5m. This shot is of a wild animal in its natural habitat!

     

    Dodge and burn, colour corrections in photoshop. Any comments about

    any further corrections that would improve it, or comments about

    corrections i should not have done are most appreciated. This file

    printed on a frontier system (crystal archive paper) without

    corrections looks very good in my opinion. Hope it displays accurately.
