  1. Hi Andre,

I solved that problem both increasing by +2 stops the exposure

and chaning the lens! Yes, I found out that the volna worked pretty

well taking normal pictures, but using it for Macro some problem

comes out. So I use to take Macro pictures with Flektogon 50mm

and Sonnar 180mm Zeiss Jena lenses, and the results are very good

indeed! These two lenses are the best in my lens collection; no

flare, very sharp, no distortion, very good contrast. The only

problem with these lenses is the weight and the size!!

So I can suggest you to increase the light exposure to solve the

problem, but if you want a much better result change the lens also.

P.S. Flektogon and Sonnar are pure Zeiss lenses...

  2. Have you ever used an extension tube on the Kiev 60 camera?

I took some pictures with it (using volna 80) and the results

was very low in contrast, and the color saturation was bad.

(When I got the photos back they seemed to be taken in a foggy day)

    Any suggestion to share?

    Thanks

    Eugenio

  3. Hi all,

I used canned air to blow the back glass of my lens,

but unfortunately a few of that liquid stuff came

shooting out on the glass. It was cold and white,

it dried after a few seconds but left a stain mark.

I removed it just after a few seconds and nothing

seems to be changed in the coating.

Do you know if this kind of stuff (CO2 I think)can

damage the coating of my lens?

    Thanks

    Eugenio.

  4. I'd like to buy a Zeiss Jena Sonnar 180 2,8 for my kiev 60,

I can choose between an uncoeted one, in very

good condition and a (MC) coated one in bad

condition. Someone knows how much difference

there is between the coated and uncoated lenses?

Should I buy the older (uncoated one) or the newer one.

I heard on this newsgroup that the MC lenses are much better

than the uncoated ones, both in flare and in contrast.

    Any suggestion?

    Thank you a lot,

    /Eugenio

  5. Hi all,

    I'm writing from Italy.

I'd like to ask you (if you know how) is possible to know if a lens

(made from Zeiss Jena) is multicoated or not. My new one is a

flektogon 50/4 for pentacon six, in a completly black version.

There's no written MC on the top, but if you look at through the

lens with a lamp behind you can see some different reflexes of

different colours. That's could mean it's an MC lens?

Someone on the WEB told me that some of these lenses were made in

an MC version but without the label MC written on.

Thank you in advance for your information

    Eugenio.
