The light here was beautiful but changing really fast. This was the last shot, sadly before the day turned to night and the heavens opened. The light became really flat.

I guess really I'd missed the best and photo shop did a lot to lift it.

Any feedback would be much appreciated.

Very hard to compose these sort of shots in my experiance.

Hi Paul thanks for the feedback.

I did use flash, reduced one stop and bounced it. The eyes were selectively lightend and the whites were dodged in. Overall contrast slightly increased. No sharpening and turned to B&W using channel mixer.

The eyes are slightly unreal its true and perhaps the overall harsh light doesn't lend itself quite to this type of subject

tweaks in photoshop.

I like this a lot. For me I would like more foreground interest or more sky. It would be interesting with a slightly higher tide and a slow shutter speed. A fantastic picture without doubt.

This has a nice tranquil feel to it. I love the steely foreground.

I love the shadow in the foreground. Great composition.
