I like the image, but could use a bit more contrast.

This will be interesting to see what I get on this photo compared to the one before this one.

Yes this is a beautiful image. The only problem I have with the photo is that It does not look like a photograph. I'm not sure if the photographer meant it or not but it really reminds me of Alberto Vargas. This is not the place to restart the old argument about photography and the other "fine arts". But I just noticed that many of the top images on the top photos list on this site look like paintings and not photographs. What does that say?

Kent, and Stephen,
Thanks for your kind words. It's great to see that some one is getting what I'm trying to do with some of my images. I was pleased when the figure walked through my shot. I think it makes the photo. After looking at the image I wish it would have been a little earlier so the shadow was a bit longer and higher.

Steve,
Thanks for all your kind words. No I didn't take our criticisms hard. In fact just the opposite. I like all discussion about my images, good or bad. What I hate is that so many give my images a rating, but then don't tell me why the gave mea score. It's refreshing to hear some one tell how they feel. When I joined Photo.net I was hoping for more prudent criticism about my and other work.

Yes it is a pretty image, but it's just another photo of a of another sunset.

Steve,
Thanks for the comments, but I must disagree about what you call "distractions". I believe you are talking about post and the walkway on the right of the out building. I believe that what makes the image. I like to get what around my subjects environment. The purpose of my photography is to photograph subjects that most photographers would not even take a second look at. In doing so I try to make what you call "not particularly exciting" beautiful and interesting. I sure would like to here what other think. Take a look at some of the work of William Eggleston.
