Peter: Thanks for taking the time to comment on my Norway picture. I love how your pictures capture the vibrant and intense color. That's what I try to do with all of my sunset pictures, but not with much success. Very nice work
-
Thanks for the comment. This was a scan of an 8x10 print. I'm afraid the color problems are my photoshop ineptitude.
-
This is a poor scan, I'm afraid, but I have always thought this was
a good picture
Any comments would be appreciated

Nice color. Decent composition. Did you intend for the model to be a silhouette? If not, a fill in flash or a reflector in front of the model would have helped.
Nice shot.

What do you think?
-
I think this is the best pictue of the bunch
-
Very nice

Forgot to Resize. Sorry. My next photo will be proper size

Criticism (constructive or otherwise) welcome

I really like this. Great colors. I wonder if a little more exposure to the left would give it some detail or interest? Perhaps longer exposure would have washed out the colors.
Great shot.

Looks like a scene from an old science fiction movie. I wondered at first if it was a real city.
Was it shot on B$W film?
Nice shot

I think I need to spend some time learning photoshop. The sunset was much more intense on my screen at home before I uploaded it. I have also tried making my images smaller, but they still end up huge. Thanks for the ratings.

Chasing sunsets as usual, I thought it would be neet to include the
motorcycle in this one. I was trying to capture the feeling of the
end of a long day traveling by mortorcycle. There are some intense
colors in the sunset and interesting shapes in the clouds.
Tell my what you think.. Go ahead be brutal, or helpful.
Thanks.

what do I need to do to get my photos a little smaller on the screen?
-
Same night as the last picture. More intense colors (not an effect)
and hopefully a little better balance
-
very nice
I would like to see a little bit more of the green in front, and curious if there is any more detail to the left that would balance the stairs on the right?
-
Please take a second to look at my other one from the same night "bigeasy" See if it is any better. By too big, do you mean composition? Tree and building dominate the scene too much?
-
I love this treatment. Pardon my ignorance, but is this (cyanotype) where you make up the emulsion and expose by setting it in the sun. I bought a print at a charity auction once, and the artist told me that's how he did it.
Looks like the picture is 100 yrs old too.

I took several pictures this evening. I love when the sky gets this
type of coloration. The only thing I did to it was use the RGB levels
adjustment to bring some detail / color into the building (it was
pink) I am just starting to learn how to use photoshop, so any
advice would be appreciated.

Is there any more picture to the right and left? I would consider cropping the bottom a bit more (not too much) and give it a widescreen / panoramic feel
I like the detail and tenision in this shot very much.
-
I love the color and perspective in this one. I feel unqualified to add any real critique. I would consider cropping or adjusting it so that the tip of the boat is even closer to the right edge of the frame.
-
I took this picture because I liked how the color and light played
through the holes. It is a cropping of a much larger scene, but this
is the look I was going for. The next time I go out west, I am
bringing my film camera too.
An attempt at flower pictures

I went tearing out to the country to my friend's house which sits on
a hill to get some sunset pictures. I missed it, so I looked for
something else to shoot. Lit from the side with car headlights and
from the front with on camera flash.
Any suggestions?
