thanks phill - it was lit using sunlight - got her to stand in a doorway so the background would be dark - she's a friend and need a pic for an acting portfolio but we didnt have much time

Thanks for you comments guys - i agree i think offcentering the tree would make it better but the shape of the large cloud influenced the composition. It was originaly a color image and you're right it looks far better b/w. I was trying to imitate b/w infrared film in photoshop
