Who said you have to keep the circle ?- I would assume most of these are cropped. In the case of mine I have kept part of the circle, you can see it around the top right of the picture & bottom, but cropped in on the rest of the picture to give a sense of circularity but not overpoweringly so. People who are good fish eye users generally dont like 'rules' too much LOL. Having said that I always take 'normal' pics of the B&G as well. Some dont take kindly to fish only pics!!! - see other mail in this section. Some of these may have been taken by a 'semi-fish eye' like a sigma 15mm - which give a full frame effect.

Great tool to have, some locations just beg for a fish eye experience

I bought an older remote release for the 680III not realising fuji
have upgraded the model. Is there any way I can get this older model
to work with a 680III - thanks for any info.

hello all, I recently bought a secondhand 165mm LS lens,
unfortunately I cant get it to fire the flash below F8. I dont think
Pentax would manufacture a lens that does this, so can anyone
confirm for me its faulty ?
-
thanks for your response, the lenses I am now considering are the The 80 and 150, however I do have an older Arca Swiss LF set up and a 150 & 90 mmm lenses. I would be interested in seeing if this 180 macro could be used on both the arca and the fuji- do you think this is possible ? I have no idea how the convertor you mentioned would work - do you have any pics or could you give me a description ? I suppose it may be possible to swap the 180 between lens boards if the arca swiss lensboard was not compatable with the system you mentioned. Steve

hello, I recently bought a fuji 680 III. My dream camera by the way -
waited for 4 years for this. I am slowly building up the rest of
the parts. Can anyone help with lens recommendations. In my studio I
shoot food & portraits so a good close up lens is good, maybe one
that I can use for both food and a close up portrait lens. Also I
need a wide angle lens to shoot full length portraits any
recommendations ? thanks Steve

I have got a Metz 70-mz5 flash I want to use with my 67II. I have
the SCA 372 converter as recommended by metz, so my question is will
this arrangement fit onto the 67II TTL grip & work? I know Pentax
are trying so hard to get me to buy one of their flashes for the
67II & I am working equally hard not to be pushed down this route...
TIA steve

Steve & gary, thanks for your replies, having worked with a 150mm Bronnie lens for portraits in studio's, and backing up almost out of the studio to get the shots I wanted, a 165mm lens would not be my first choice. As I understand it this is the only choice I have to get above 1/30th sync for flash, which coming from Bronnies is the only real compromise I am having to make on this switch.
If there is a simple conversion adapter available to somebody elses lower focal length leaf shutter glass I would consider it.
Thanks also for the clarification on the functioning of the leaf lenses, it does make sense to me now.

thank you to everybody who contributed a reply, appreciated.

hi all, I am considering a 165mm/f4 lens (LS) to add to my new 67II
kit, as I do some studio flash work. I can't find out much about
this lens on the net.
Is it optically as good as other 67 lenses ? also I understand the
PC socket is in the lens, is it just a case of plugging a pc lead in
there & setting the shutter speed (up to 1/500th) and aperture
according to light meter readings ? I read something about still
setting the shutter speeed to 1/30th, which does not make any sense.
any info appreciated - thnx

hi, I am a ETRSi user about to sell up & go to the 67 II (after
falling in love with it!!). I have not found much about the 90-180mm
f/5.6 Zoom lens in this forum, anybody using it ? any opinions on
sharpness compared to the 105 mm & bokeh ? I could get one in the
package I intend to buy for not much more than the cost of the
105mm. I would use it for mainly portraits/fashion type stuff. I am
not worried about the extra weight as I am a big bloke & like big
cameras !!!! the 5.6 aperture does worry me slightly compared to the
2.4 of the 105. But for studio use I would not be anywhere around
there anyway. Thnx for any advice.

Following your instructions I managed to get Vista x64 and my coolscan 9000 working with no problems.
Thank you so much, I can now run my scanner on my high power x64 PC. Nikon surely should have done this customer support with minimal effort to themselves.....
