<p>I publish regularly to mags and other publications.When they request your work you should always get confirmation that they will send copy of publication.When you send multiple photos you cannot always be sure how many are used,you can always use your internet to search.I had two photos used by others mags in China and Sweden,found them on the internet but had not gotten paid for them.The original receiver of the photos eventually did pay me........Cheers Birte</p>

<p>I agree with David but don,t expect more than $50 you can try for the $100 but I think you will get knocked back.Been there in the beginning of my photographic career.I did not even charge that but it led to other things,I get very good money for my photos now plus it led to a lot of publications and a lot of commissioned work.There are so many photographers out there so the competition is fierce,one small step leads to bigger things.</p>

I would be interested to know what other PN users think of the change to the critique forum?

I have the latest firefox ect ect and I can,t open any tabs,can,t rate, can,t even see my own ratings,Wrote a critique today on a photo and it did not show up.Something is wrong with this system.

Well I just did a search and found my photos on at least ten sites, many of them chinese,a lot of them had my biography plus photo of me from my PN site.They are all low resolution and could not possibly be used for anything other than bringing people to that particular site.A lot of these photos of mine on these sites have been published and are owned by these magazines and book publishers.I will contact publishers and see what they have to say about this matter.Meanwhile I suggest you all do a good search and see just how many sites you find your photos on.

I just found 50 of mine on this site. Why all the fuss,they are credited with the correct names,so your work is being spread around.

John is absolutely right, a couple of days ago I listed two shots,within the first 5 minutes I recieved 4 ratings of 3/3 on both.I then checked some of the photos that were listed at the same time as mine and they got the same,at the same time I have had the same happen where I get 4 7/7 within minutes of each other, personally I think someone is having some fun and just go in for the heck of it.The whole system is absolutely ridiculous, I have even had someone call me a cheat because of all this.They apparently registered themselves as CHEATER CHEATER just so they could make this comment.The system needs to be changed.I agree that someone new to the site might be put off.Myself I don,t care .You just have to learn to be like a duck Jeff.
