the image was shot at mid day - with direct sunlight.

The lighting is harsh and the shadows around Fatima's eyes dont add

much to the image. The picture has many technical imperfections but I

like it.

The image was shot on the beached of Nuweba, Sinai. Fatima with three

others like her sell , scarfs and jewellery to the tourists who

populate the beaches.

I asked her how old she was in my broken Arabic. "Ana - arba wa

ishreen, Inti ?" (I -24, you?). "Arabaeen" (40), she replied.

Like the barks that define the age of the tree, her wrinkles define

her life

this is an interesting image.

IMHO I would crop a little off the top. Esp where the light is bleached in the top left corner

The image is compositionally brilliant. Everyone else have already stated the merits and am not going to repeat it here.

I dont like the borders here. I think the image would look much better without the frame

She looks like a plastic doll .. with remains of realism .

I love the image till the point where i see her hands holding her hand .. which makes the image look a little awkward

nonetheless interesting rendering

this is a beautiful profile shot.

However the back ground doesn't help

I would have liked the background to be plain and flat - probably grey
