Indeed no PS work on this picture other than resizing.

I was experimenting with partially obscuring the lens with leaves, with the leaves being close enough to the lens to be completely blurred but far enough to provide the color. This was the result.

Judging from other, not at all succesful, pictures, the obscuring leaves must be at some distance from the lens in order to reflect light, or need to be backllit.

What do you think?

Unfortunately, in resizing the picture from the original scan, I

could not get rid if the color bands on top and at the bottom.

Another common subject but will nejoy your critique.

The selective and shallow focus was intentional. Compared to shots

with most of the lilly in focus, this seemed to benefit from the

added softness.

This is likely a very commonly shot subject but appreciate your

comments. And appreciate your comments for this very reason.

The picture was shot in the horizontal right-to-left orientation but

in review seemed more harmonious vertically.
