Good technique and choice of shutter speed. A good sense of speed with clear subject.

Instant horsepower that shakes the ground and is louder than you can imagine.
All critiques welcome.

1st the dark edges in the first frame distract from the bike. Burning the road is a poor title for this static photo. 2nd photo is cropped too tight for my taste. I do like the DOP and the colors are excellent.
The Aprilia 125 is a great subject and I hope you post more photos of this beautiful motorcycle. Please take some action photos.

Thanks for your comments. Photo details: 1/320, ISO 100, 126mm*1.6 crop, f/7.1.
I cropped this tighter than I normally would for my web magazine.
The Stoner photo was taken at 1/800, ISO 200, 135*1.6 crop, f/7.1.

Next time try slower shutter speeds. Your photos will have much more impact when the background is blurred and the wheels are not stopped by the fast shutter.

Thank you for the comment. I was outside the fence. Photo taken at 1/250, ISO 100, f/7, effective focal length 200mm.

Thank you for your comments.
ISO 200 and f/22. I always shoot motorsports on shutter priority. Depending on how fast the object is moving I like to use 1/125 to 1/500. This was an experiment to see how low a shutter speed could be used and still capture a reasonable image.

Experiment with very slow shutter speed (for motor sports) taken at
1/80th and effective focal length of 270mm (1.6 crop). What do you
think? Thanks in advance for your comments.

Great photo. The lighting, DOP and shutter speed are great. The low camera angle makes this photo really interesting. This brings back memories of riding one of these monsters in the late 70's.

Thanks for your input. Sometimes the background and shooting angle is not ideal at the track.

Thanks for viewing and commenting. I did not do any post processing on this photo. Taken at ISO 200, 1/250th, f/14. There was bright sunlight so the white is bright. I'll play around with contrast and see what I get.

I crop a lot of my motorcycle/motorsports photos to 16x9 format on Roadcarvin Magazine. 18x12 prints also work well. I shot the Fram Autolite Nationals on the starting line, there is nothing like fuel cars.
