<p>The others are probably right, that's a good price. Plus the exposure in
the San Francisco area would be great. A lot of design, web, art companies
are out of the bay. Good luck.<br>

<p>Hmm... I think we use Quick Books for our business, but for better advice
go to <a href="http://www.versiontracker.com">www.versiontracker.com</a>
or <a href="http://www.macupdate.com">www.macupdate.com</a> and
search for "accounting"<br>
<br>
I don't know which ones are good for photography or a photo business, but
you should be able to find a couple with some solid user reviews behind
them.<br>

<p>When starting a photography business ... start building a web presence
now. Whether you hire someone to build it or you build it yourself. Get a host
and a domain and start collecting your photos and information about what
kind of stuff you shoot. Then submit your site to the dmoz.com . The major
search engines use this for data and it might take a couple months for you to
get listed so start today. You'll feel great when you get your first call saying &
quot;I found you on google".<br>
<br>
And do what the others said to. But get a web site up. Even if its small.<br>

<p>We have a customer we do extensive digtal product photography for his
construction equipment. Because we do it digitally and save money on
development costs and don't have to worry about film getting screwed up and
the whole "did we get it" factor... we are able to pass some of the
savings on to him. Film often has more character, but digital is awesome for
commercial purposes.<br>

<p>As a web design firm that does some product photography, I would
suggest pumping up your web site a little. Not by design or photos (everything
looks great, one of the best web sites I've seen today.) Here's a couple tips
that will ramp thing up.<br>
<br>
#1: On each page make the title different. Right now all your page titles are
titled "Maria Manjelo - East Brunswick NJ Photography ..." This is
good for one page but each page should be different such as:<br>
<br>
"Adult Portrait Photography"<br>
"Children Portrait Photography"<br>
"Portrait Photography" ... and so on ...<br>
<br>
This way each page is viewed as a separate document by the viewer and
the search engine.<br>
<br>
#2 Make sure the titles of each page have the main searched keywords
first.<br>
Instead of "Maria Manjelo - East Brunswick NJ Photography"<
br>
Try: " Portrait Photography Studio New Jersey Maria Manjelo"<
br>
<br>
Remember on search engines ... you want to get people who don't know
who you are --- New Customers!!! So try a keyword search tool and mix it up
on each page:<br>
<br>
http://inventory.overture.com/d/searchinventory/suggestion/<br>
<br>
#3 Post on photography forums and in the signature of each post leave your
web site address. Such as:<br>
<br>
Post: I think Ansel Adams is overrated.<br>
Signature: Maria http://www.mariamanjelo.com/<br>
<br>
This will tell the search engine that your site is an important photography
site because tons of other photography sites link to it.<br>
<br>
#4 Submit all the pages of your web site and all the pages you post on to the
search engines. That way the search engines will be sure to crawl the page
and realize you are a hot shot photography.<br>
<br>
#5 Give your web stats about a month and watch your visitor count grow.<
br>
<br>
What do you think?<br>

Speaking as an "agency" who does photoraphy ... in texas and in colorado
(usa), the increase in demand for digital photography is continually
expanding. Having to work photos into all-electronic layouts of the web or
digtal file formats for printing, digital photos are the best. All though we do a
fair amount of scanning for fine art photographers. So it depends on who you
work with. <br>
